• This hybrid apple originated in the 1930s in Fujisaki, Japan.

• It is a cross  between the Red Delicious and the Virginia Rail Genet.

• It has red stripes over a yellow-green background.

• It has a dense flesh that is super-sweet and crisp.

• Excellent for fresh-eating, salads and desserts.
